Geffrey Francis, known as Geff Francis, is a British actor. He was born in England in 1964. He has appeared in many popular TV shows and movies. Some of his most famous roles include Michael in the comedy series Desmond's and Admiral Frantis Griss in a Star Wars film.
Early Acting Roles
Geff Francis started his acting career in the 1980s. In 1986, he played the main character in a TV show called Zastrozzi, A Romance on Channel Four. He also had a small role in another TV series, The Singing Detective. In 1988, he appeared in the drama film For Queen and Country.
Becoming a TV Regular
From 1989 to 1994, Geff Francis became well-known for playing Michael. Michael was the eldest son of the main character in the popular comedy show Desmond's. This show was set in Peckham, London. After Desmond's, he continued his role as Michael in a spin-off series called Porkpie, which ran from 1995 to 1996.
Since then, Francis has often appeared as a character actor on British television. He played Desk Sergeant Viv James in the BBC TV series Ashes to Ashes. In 2013, he also appeared in an episode of the famous BBC TV series Doctor Who. The episode was called "The Bells of Saint John".
Star Wars Role
To many science fiction fans, Geff Francis is known for his role in the Star Wars universe. He played Admiral Frantis Griss in Star Wars: Episode IX – The Rise of Skywalker. This movie was released in 2019. It was the final film in the Star Wars sequel trilogy.
