Field Marshal facts for kids
A Field Marshal is the highest and most important rank a soldier can reach in the British Army. It's like being the top leader of an entire army! Some other countries, like Germany, also have this very high military rank. In the U.S. Army, the closest rank is called a Five-star General.
What is a Field Marshal?
This special rank is usually only given to a General who has successfully led a large army during a major war. It is a way to honor their incredible leadership and achievements in battle. It shows they have done something truly amazing for their country's military.
