George Beauclerk, 3rd Duke of St Albans (born June 25, 1730 – died February 1, 1786) was an important person in British history. He held the title of Duke of St Albans. Before he became Duke in 1751, people called him the Earl of Burford.

His Early Life
George Beauclerk was born on June 25, 1730. His father was Charles Beauclerk, 2nd Duke of St Albans. His mother was Lucy Werden.
His grandfather, Charles Beauclerk, 1st Duke of St Albans, was a very interesting person. He was the son of King Charles II of England. King Charles II's mother was Nell Gwynne.
His Marriage

On December 23, 1752, George Beauclerk got married. The wedding took place in London at St George's Hanover Square Church. He married Jane Roberts.
Jane was the daughter of Sir Walter Roberts. Sadly, Jane died on December 16, 1778. They did not have any children.
When George Beauclerk died in 1786, his titles went to his second cousin. This cousin was George Beauclerk.
Important Roles
George Beauclerk held several important jobs. In 1751, he became the High Steward of Windsor. He also served as a Lord of the Bedchamber that same year.
He was the Lord Lieutenant of Berkshire for many years. He held this role from 1751 to 1760. He then held it again from 1771 until 1786. He passed away in Brussels.
