George began his professional baseball career in 2018. He played for the rookie–level Arizona League Indians. He played well, hitting for a .333 average in six games.

The 2020 baseball season was different. Minor league games were canceled because of the COVID-19 pandemic. This meant George did not play in any games that year.
Moving Up the Ranks
In 2021, George played for the Lake County Captains again. He also played for the Double–A Akron RubberDucks. He had a great season, hitting 19 home runs and getting 65 RBI. He also stole 11 bases.
After his strong performance, the Cleveland Guardians added George to their 40-man roster on November 19, 2021. This means he was closer to playing for the main team.
In 2022, George split his time between the Akron RubberDucks and the Triple–A Columbus Clippers. He continued to play well, hitting 24 home runs and getting 82 RBI.
