Starting Out

During that season, he also won the slam dunk contest at the Greek All-Star Game weekend. At the end of the season, he was named the Greek League Best Young Player. After this success, he returned to play for Olympiacos.

Time in Spain

In 2009, Printezis signed a three-year contract with Unicaja Málaga, a team in the Spanish ACB League. He played for Málaga for two seasons, gaining more experience in a different league.

Back to Olympiacos

On April 27, 2011, Printezis made a big move and returned to his former club, Olympiacos Piraeus. In the 2011–12 EuroLeague season's Final, he made a game-winning shot with only 0.7 seconds left. This incredible shot gave Olympiacos the EuroLeague championship over CSKA Moscow.

On July 12, 2012, Printezis signed a new three-year contract to stay with Olympiacos. He had other offers, but he chose to remain with his team. He helped Olympiacos win another EuroLeague championship in the 2012–13 season. He continued to extend his contract with Olympiacos in 2014, 2017, 2020, and 2021.

On June 17, 2022, Georgios Printezis officially announced he was retiring from professional basketball. He ended his career by winning the Greek Basket League championship in the 2021–22 season with Olympiacos. In his final season, he was the team's captain.
