Gerbert was a fun American children's TV show created by Andy Holmes. It was made for young kids, usually between 3 and 7 years old. The show taught important lessons about being kind, making good choices, and being a good friend to others. It also showed how important it is to love your neighbor and learn valuable life lessons.

The show was made by HSH Educational Media and CBN in 1987. These companies worked together to bring Gerbert to life. The first episodes were filmed in Virginia Beach, Virginia. Later, other episodes were filmed in Irving, Texas.

Gerbert first appeared on TV on February 15, 1988. It was shown on the CBN Family Channel, which is now known as Freeform. The show ran until December 25, 1991. You could also buy Gerbert episodes on VHS tapes in stores like Wal-Mart and Christian bookstores.

Even after it stopped making new episodes, Gerbert continued to air on Christian TV stations. A special version of the show, without religious content, was also shown on many PBS stations in the early 1990s. More recently, reruns of the show were seen on the Smile network until 2019.
