How Gibisonville Started
Gibisonville was first planned and settled in the year 1840. It was named after its founders, two men named Samuel and William Gibison. They were important in starting this community.
The Old Post Office
A post office was opened in Gibisonville in 1850. This was a very important place for people to send and receive letters and packages. The post office served the community for many years. It finally closed down in 1969.
