Gina Bellman (born 10 July 1966) is a talented actress from New Zealand and Britain. She is most famous for playing the clever character Sophie Devereaux in the TV show Leverage. She also played Sophie in the newer show Leverage: Redemption. Many people also know her as Jane Christie from the BBC comedy series Coupling.

Early Life and Education
Gina Bellman was born in Auckland, New Zealand. Her parents were Jewish and came from Russia and Poland. They moved to New Zealand from England in the 1950s. When Gina was 11 years old, her family moved back to the United Kingdom. She went to school in London at Rosh Pinah Primary School and JFS.
Acting Career Highlights
Gina Bellman started her acting career on television in 1982. Her first role was in an episode of Into the Labyrinth. She also appeared in Grange Hill in 1984. She became very well known for her main role in the drama Blackeyes.
Popular TV Roles
Gina is widely recognized for playing Jane in the comedy show Coupling. She also had roles in other TV series like Waking the Dead and Jonathan Creek. She even made guest appearances in famous shows such as Only Fools and Horses and Hotel Babylon.

Gina Bellman has also acted in several movies. These include King David (1985), where she acted alongside Richard Gere. She also appeared in Secret Friends (1991), Leon the Pig Farmer (1992), and Silent Trigger (1996) with Dolph Lundgren.
Leverage and Jekyll
In 2007, Gina co-starred with James Nesbitt in the BBC One drama Jekyll. This show was a modern follow-up to the classic story Strange Case of Dr Jekyll and Mr Hyde.
In 2008, she began her role as Sophie Devereaux in the TV series Leverage. This show also starred Timothy Hutton. For her work on Leverage, she was nominated for a Saturn Award for Best Supporting Actress in Television.
Recent Work
Since 2021, Gina Bellman has continued to play Sophie Devereaux in Leverage: Redemption. This is a new version of the original Leverage series. In 2013, she also narrated poetry for an app called The Love Book App. She performed in a play called From Morning to Midnight at the National Theatre in late 2013.
Personal Life
Gina Bellman was married to Lucho Brieva from 2005 to 2007. In 2009, she had a daughter with Zaab Sethna. She and Zaab Sethna got married in 2013.
