Giorgio Kutufà (born April 10, 1948 – died May 13, 2020) was an important Italian politician. He was the President of the Province of Livorno from 2004 to 2014. He also served in the Regional Council of Tuscany from 1985 to 1995.

Giorgio Kutufà was born and grew up in Livorno, a city in Italy. He went to the University of Pisa to study economics and business. Later in his life, he even taught at the University of Pisa.
Early Political Life
Kutufà started his political career in 1970. He was elected to the Livorno municipal council. A municipal council is like a city council. He served there until 1985. During this time, he was part of a political group called the Christian Democrats.
From 1985 to 1995, he was elected to the Regional Council of Tuscany. This council helps make decisions for the Tuscany region of Italy. After his first political party, the Christian Democrats, ended in 1994, Kutufà helped start a new group called Toscana Democratica.
President of Livorno Province
Giorgio Kutufà became the President of the Province of Livorno in 2004. A province is a bit like a county or a larger area within a region. He served two terms as president, from June 2004 to October 2014.
In 2004, he won the election with a group of different political parties. They worked together and got 59.3% of the votes. This showed that many people supported him.
He won a second term as President in 2009. This time, he had support from new political parties like the Democratic Party. His group won 54.4% of the votes in that election.
Later Years
Giorgio Kutufà passed away on May 13, 2020, at 72 years old. He had been ill for a long time. He was survived by his wife, Daniela, and his two children, Ilaria and Luigi.
