Glecia Bear (born April 29, 1912, in Green Lake, Saskatchewan – died September 1998, Flying Dust First Nation) was an important Cree elder and a wonderful storyteller from Saskatchewan, Canada. She was also known by her Cree name, Nêhiyaw. Glecia Bear shared many traditional tales and stories about her own life. These stories were carefully written down and translated by Freda Ahenakew, helping to preserve them for future generations.

Glecia Bear made history by becoming the first female chief of the Flying Dust First Nation. This was a very important step for her community and for women in leadership.
