Glengarry Pioneer Museum facts for kids

Kids Encyclopedia Facts

The Glengarry Pioneer Museum is a special place where you can travel back in time! It was started in 1962 by a group called the Glengarry Historical Society. This museum helps everyone learn about the early history of Eastern Ontario, especially the lives of pioneers and people with Celtic backgrounds.

In 2013, the museum became a non-profit organization. This means it's run for public benefit, not for making money. It also received charitable status, which helps it get support. You can find the museum in a small village called Dunvegan. This village is in North Glengarry, Ontario, which is part of the United Counties of Stormont, Dundas and Glengarry in Eastern Ontario.
