The Story of Godzilla 1985
A Mysterious Return
The movie begins in 1985. A Japanese fishing boat, the Yahata Maru, gets caught in a huge storm near a volcano. Something strange happens: a giant sea louse attacks the crew! One sailor is killed before the louse is stabbed.
Soon after, a Russian submarine is attacked by a huge creature. It's Godzilla, back again! This giant monster is 80 meters tall.
Godzilla's Rampage
Godzilla then attacks a nuclear power plant. He seems to be trying to absorb the radiation. Later, birds gather around Godzilla, and he appears to follow them. Scientists believe Godzilla might communicate with birds. They think this is why he heads towards Mount Mihara.
Godzilla soon appears in Tokyo Bay and starts a huge rampage through the city. The Japanese Self-Defense Forces (JSDF) send their special flying fortress, Super X, to stop him.
Battling the Monster
Super X follows Godzilla through the city. They use a special device that attracts Godzilla. He stalks buildings and smashes them with his tail. Super X fires cadmium missiles into Godzilla's mouth. These missiles make Godzilla weak, and he falls down.
Meanwhile, the United States Army launches a missile to intercept a Russian missile in space. This causes a big explosion high above the Earth.
Final Confrontation
A storm starts, and it seems to give Godzilla new energy. Super X attacks Godzilla again. But Godzilla is too strong. He pushes the Sumitomo building, causing Super X to crash and be crushed.
Finally, a sonar signal tracks Godzilla to Mount Mihara. The volcano suddenly erupts and explodes. Godzilla falls into the volcano, seemingly defeated.
