Goffredo Parise (born December 8, 1929, in Vicenza – died August 31, 1986, in Treviso) was a famous Italian writer, journalist, and person who wrote movie scripts. He won important awards for his books, like the Viareggio Prize in 1965 for his novel Il padrone (which means The Boss). He also won the Strega Prize in 1982 for his book Sillabario n.2.
