Goodhope, Missouri facts for kids
Goodhope is a small, unincorporated community located in the southwestern part of Douglas County, Missouri, in the United States. An "unincorporated community" means it's a place where people live, but it doesn't have its own local government like a city or town. Instead, it's usually governed by the county.
This community is situated on the south side where two Missouri State Routes, T and O, meet. It's also just west of where Route T crosses with Missouri Route 76.
A Glimpse into Goodhope's History
Goodhope once had its own post office. This post office served the community for many years, opening its doors in 1895. It helped people send and receive mail, connecting them with the rest of the world. However, the post office eventually closed in 1923. Even though it's gone, its history remains a part of Goodhope's story.
