Goran "Maza" Vasilijević, born on August 27, 1965, is a former professional footballer from Serbia. He was a strong defender on the field. He is well-known for his time playing for Red Star Belgrade.
Football Journey
Goran Vasilijević started his football career playing for clubs like Zemun and Radnički Niš. In the summer of 1988, he joined Red Star Belgrade. This was a very important move for his career.
While playing for Red Star Belgrade, Goran was part of a team that achieved something amazing. They won the European Cup in 1991. This is one of the biggest football competitions in Europe.
Later in the 1990s, Goran also played football in other countries. He played for teams in Bulgaria and Japan, which gave him experience in different leagues. In 2002, after his playing career, Goran briefly worked as a manager for the club Obilić.
