Goran "Maza" Vasilijević is a famous Serbian former professional footballer. He was born on August 27, 1965, in Zemun, which was part of Yugoslavia at the time. Goran played as a defender, meaning his main job on the field was to protect his team's goal and stop the other team from scoring.
He played for several football clubs during his career. After playing for teams like Zemun and Radnički Niš, Goran joined one of the biggest clubs in Serbia, Red Star Belgrade, in the summer of 1988.

One of the biggest achievements in Goran's career was winning the European Cup in 1991 with Red Star Belgrade. The European Cup was the most important club football competition in Europe at that time. Winning it was a huge moment for the team and for Goran.

Besides the European Cup, Goran also helped Red Star Belgrade win other important trophies. They won the Yugoslav First League twice, in the 1990–91 and 1991–92 seasons.
