British Touring Car Championship Success
Joining Team Dynamics (2006–2009)
In 2006, Gordon joined Team Halfords in the BTCC. He raced alongside the champion, Matt Neal. Gordon won his first BTCC race at Oulton Park and another at Thruxton Circuit. He finished fourth overall in his first year and was named rookie of the year. In 2007, his team switched to the Honda Civic car. He won four more races and again finished fourth overall.
In 2008, Gordon became the team leader. He had a strong start but faced some tough luck with crashes and tire problems. He finished seventh in the championship that year. In 2009, he continued with Team Dynamics. He later moved to other teams like Clyde Valley Racing and Club SEAT for parts of the season. Despite these changes, he still managed to get two podium finishes.
Racing with Honda (2010–2017)
In 2010, Team Dynamics became an official Honda team. Gordon and Matt Neal rejoined the team. Gordon won five races that year and finished third in the Drivers Championship.
For the 2011 season, Gordon continued with Honda. He finished second in the championship, just behind his teammate Matt Neal. He was the only driver who could challenge Neal for the title.
In 2012, Gordon drove the new Honda Civic. He had a tough start but quickly improved, winning two races at the next event. He took the championship lead after a few races. Gordon secured his first BTCC title at Brands Hatch, finishing second in the race. This was a huge achievement for him!

He won three more races and got four podiums in the second half. In the final race, Gordon overtook his rival to win his third championship title! He was the first driver since 2008 to win the championship two years in a row.
