His Football Journey
Goshi Okubo started his football journey in the youth team of Vegalta Sendai from 2002 to 2004. This is where young players learn and train before becoming professional.
Early Professional Years
He officially joined the senior team of Vegalta Sendai in 2005. This team plays in the J2 League, which is one of Japan's professional football leagues. He played for them until 2011.
Loan Spells and New Teams
During his time with Vegalta Sendai, Goshi Okubo also spent some years on loan at Sony Sendai FC. A "loan" means a player temporarily moves to another team to play, usually to get more playing time. He played for Sony Sendai from 2008 to 2010 and then joined them permanently from 2012 to 2013.
