Gottfried Honegger (born June 12, 1917 – died January 17, 2016) was a talented Swiss artist and graphic designer. He was known for his abstract art and his work in design. He worked at the University of Dallas until he passed away.
Honegger was born in Zürich, Switzerland. He was married to Warja Lavater, who was also a Swiss illustrator. He studied how to design shop windows at the Zurich Kunstgewerbeschule, which is an art school. Later, he taught there starting in 1948. His first jobs were in commercial graphic design. Gottfried Honegger died at his home in Zürich when he was 98 years old.
