Early Names
In the early 1940s, the chapel was called Gretna Green Wedding Chapel. This name came from a famous wedding spot in Scotland called Gretna Green.
The Elvis Connection
Elvis Presley, the famous singer, visited the chapel in 1967. He was planning his wedding to Priscilla Beaulieu at the time. Some say Elvis gave the chapel permission to use the name "Graceland."
