Graham Lyons, born on June 28, 1969, is an Indigenous Australian who used to play professional rugby league. He was a talented player for teams like South Sydney, Penrith, and Balmain. These teams competed in the top league in New South Wales, Australia.

Graham mostly played as a wing (winger). This position is usually on the side of the field. Sometimes, he also played in the centre (centres), which is a position closer to the middle of the field. He is also the cousin of another famous rugby league player, Cliff Lyons.

Starting with South Sydney

Graham Lyons began his professional rugby league career with the South Sydney Rabbitohs. He played his very first game in 1988. This was a big moment for him, joining the top league.

In 1989, Graham was part of a strong South Sydney team. They had a fantastic year and won the minor premiership. This means they finished at the top of the ladder before the final games. However, they lost in a preliminary final match against the Canberra Raiders.

A Tough Year and Top Try Scorer

The year 1990 was challenging for South Sydney. The team finished last on the competition table. Even though it was a difficult season for the club, Graham Lyons showed his skill. He scored the most tries for South Sydney that year.

Playing for New South Wales

Graham's great performance earned him a spot in the New South Wales Blues. This is a very special team that plays in the State of Origin series. He played in three big games for New South Wales in 1990. He started as a winger in two of those matches.

He also had the honor of playing for the Australian Aboriginal side. This team competed in the 1990 Pacific Cup.

Moving to Other Teams
