Grant Green Jr. is a talented jazz guitarist. He is the oldest son of another famous jazz guitarist, Grant Green. Grant Green Jr. is also part of a cool music group called Masters of Groove. He plays in this group with Bernard Purdie and Reuben Wilson.

He was born in St. Louis, Missouri on August 4, 1955. Grant Jr. started playing the guitar when he was fourteen years old. In 1969, he moved to Detroit with his father. His neighbors there were the parents of the famous musician Stevie Wonder. Over the years, Grant Green Jr. has worked with many other great musicians. These include Richard "Groove" Holmes, Leon Thomas, Jimmy McGriff, Lou Donaldson, and Lonnie Smith.
