The Greensboro History Museum is a cool place to learn about the past in Greensboro, North Carolina. It's located in a really old building that used to be the First Presbyterian Church of Greensboro and the Smith Memorial Building. This historic spot is found at 130 Summit Avenue in Greensboro.

The church part was built in 1892. It even stands where a hospital for soldiers was during the American Civil War. The church building has a special look called Romanesque Revival architecture. It's made of brick and has a tall tower.

The Smith Memorial Building was added in 1903. It's shaped like a half-circle and has eight-sided parts and another tower. A famous architect named Charles Christian Hook designed it.

In 1938, the church and memorial building were joined together. They were updated to become the Richardson Civic Center. This center was given to the city of Greensboro. Over the years, it has been home to the public library, an art center, and now the Greensboro History Museum. There's also an old cemetery from 1831 on the property.

The museum was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1985. This means it's a very important historical site!
