Greensburg, Ohio facts for kids
Greensburg is a small place in Ohio, located in Summit County. It's known as an unincorporated community. This means it doesn't have its own local government, like a city or a town. Instead, it's usually managed by the county government.
A Glimpse into Greensburg's Past
Greensburg was first planned and settled a long time ago, in the year 1828. It was named after a person named Gardner Green. He worked for the Connecticut Land Company, which was a group that helped sell land in the area.
For a while, Greensburg had a different name: Inland. A post office was set up there in 1838, and it was called the Inland post office. But later, in 1922, the name was officially changed back to Greensburg.
