Grevillea tenuiflora is a type of shrub (a bushy plant) that belongs to a group of plants called Grevillea. It grows naturally in some areas of Western Australia, specifically in the Wheatbelt and Mid West regions.

About Grevillea tenuiflora

This low-growing, spreading shrub usually reaches a height of 0.5 to 1 metre (1.6 to 3.3 ft) (about 1.5 to 3 feet). It has stems that don't have a waxy coating.

What it Looks Like

The leaves of Grevillea tenuiflora are quite special. They are simple but deeply divided into many small parts, almost like feathers. Each leaf blade is about 15 to 50 millimetres (0.59 to 1.97 in) long.

The plant blooms between August and October, which is late winter to mid-spring in Australia. It produces beautiful orange flowers that grow in clusters at the end of its branches. These flowers have orange styles, which are part of the plant's reproductive system.

After the flowers, the plant forms fruits. These fruits are egg-shaped, slightly fuzzy, and reddish-brown. They are about 11 to 14 mm (0.4 to 0.6 in) long.
