Griffin, Missouri facts for kids
Griffin is a small, undeveloped area in Christian County, Missouri. It's called an "unincorporated community" because it doesn't have its own local government like a city or town.
History of Griffin
Griffin got its name from a person who owned a mill nearby. Mills were important places where grain was ground into flour.
A post office opened in Griffin in 1886. This meant people living there could send and receive mail. However, the post office closed down in 1907. After that, Griffin remained a quiet, undeveloped area.
