Where is Guernsey?
Guernsey is found in the central part of California. It is about 9 miles (14.5 kilometers) north-northwest of a town called Corcoran. The community sits at an elevation of 223 feet (68 meters) above sea level. It is also located along the BNSF Railway, which is a major train line.
A Bit of History
Guernsey once had its own post office. This post office was open for many years, from 1898 until 1918. The community was named to honor James Guernsey, who was a landowner in the area.
