Sonja Gunilla Persson, born on December 31, 1958, is a Swedish television personality and former fashion model. She is also a singer. Her parents were Nils Erik Persson and Iris Strid.

Gunilla Persson's Career Journey

Gunilla Persson started her career in media. She worked as a tour leader. Later, she studied journalism. She then began working at Sveriges Radio. There, she hosted a show. She interviewed many famous people.

In 1983, Gunilla entered a modeling competition. It was called The Face of the 80's. Her boyfriend sent in her pictures without her knowing. Even though she didn't win, a judge named Eileen Ford noticed her. Eileen Ford was a famous modeling agent. She signed Gunilla to her agency in New York City. Gunilla also worked for another big agency, Elite Model Management. She appeared on the covers of several magazines. One notable cover was for the German edition of Bazaar. She also modeled lingerie for La Perla.

In the late 1970s, Gunilla moved from Sweden to the Dallas, US. She later moved to New York City and lived there for many years. She also studied acting at Stella Adler's acting school. She moved to California to be part of the TV show Svenska Hollywoodfruar.

It was called Gunilla tycker till. In this show, fans voted on different jobs for her to try. She also had a news show in 2017. It was called The Gunilla Show on viafree. In February 2013, she was a guest on The Schulman Show. This show aired on Aftonbladet's website. In 2015, Gunilla recorded a music video. She worked with rapper Dogge Doggelito.
