Guéra is one of the 23 main areas, called regions, in the country of Chad. Chad is located in Central Africa. The capital city of Guéra is Mongo. This region was officially created in 2002. Before that, it was known as the Guéra prefecture.

The Guéra region is an important part of Chad. It is home to many people, with a population of over 550,000 recorded in 2009. The capital city, Mongo, is where the main government offices for the region are located.
Nature in Guéra
A significant part of the famous Zakouma National Park is located within the Guéra region. This park is known for its amazing wildlife and natural beauty. It helps protect many different kinds of animals and plants.
