Håkan Lennart Jeppsson (born 6 May 1961, died 6 December 2018) was a Swedish businessman. He was best known as the chairman of the famous Swedish football club, Malmö FF. He led the club from 2010 until he passed away in 2018.

Håkan studied at Lund University. He also worked as a CEO for a company called Inwido.

Håkan Jeppsson's Journey and Leadership

Early Sports Life

When Håkan Jeppsson was younger, he loved sports. He played football for Malmö FF. At the same time, he also played table tennis for IK Pallas.

After a few years, he chose to focus on table tennis. He became a professional player. This was during a time when Sweden was very strong in table tennis. This was in the 1970s and 1980s.

Starting a Business Career

Eventually, Håkan decided to stop playing sports professionally. He wanted to focus on a different career. He went to Lund University to study international economy.

After finishing his studies, he worked his way up in the business world. He was the president of Papyrus AB from 1999 to 2002. Later, he became the president and CEO of BE group. From 2009, he was the president and CEO of Inwido.

Leading Malmö FF

Håkan Jeppsson became a board member of Malmö FF in 2004. He later became the vice chairman, working with Bengt Madsen. In 2010, Bengt Madsen decided to step down. Håkan was the only person nominated to take his place. He officially became chairman on 18 February 2010.

In his first year as chairman, Malmö FF had a big celebration. It was the club's 100th anniversary. That same year, the team won its 16th Swedish championship.

Malmö FF had moved to a new stadium, Swedbank Stadion, a year before Håkan became chairman. This new stadium brought both good chances and some risks for the club's money. The club found out they had lost 30 million kronor in 2010.

Because of this, the club's managing director was let go. Håkan announced that they would make changes to save money. This plan helped the club get back on track financially. As part of the plan, Malmö FF increased its ownership in Swedbank Stadion to 75%. This helped reduce costs and make more money for the club.
