Hédi Amara Nouira (born 5 April 1911 – died 25 January 1993) was an important Tunisian politician. He served as the second Prime Minister of Tunisia from 1970 to 1980.

Life and Career of Hédi Nouira
Hédi Nouira began his career in finance. In 1958, he became the governor of the Central Bank of Tunisia. This bank is very important for managing the country's money.
Economic Changes in Tunisia
During the 1960s, Tunisia tried a different economic plan. It was called a "Socialist experiment." This plan did not work out as expected.
After this, Hédi Nouira became Prime Minister in 1970. He helped to change Tunisia's economy. He made it more open to private businesses. This means he encouraged people and companies to start their own businesses. This was a big change for the country's economy.
Why Hédi Nouira Became Prime Minister
Hédi Nouira was chosen as Prime Minister for a few reasons. One main reason was his strong belief in "private initiative." Later Years and Passing
