Harry Jon Benjamin (born May 23, 1966) is an American actor, comedian, and writer. He is most famous for his unique voice, which he has used for many popular animated characters.
Benjamin is well-known for voicing Bob Belcher in the animated series Bob's Burgers and the secret agent Sterling Archer in Archer. He also voiced Coach McGuirk in Home Movies and Ben in Dr. Katz, Professional Therapist. For his work on Bob's Burgers and Archer, he was named the male comedy performer of the year in 2014 by Vulture, a part of New York magazine.

Early Life and Education
H. Jon Benjamin was born to a Jewish family in Worcester, Massachusetts, on May 23, 1966. His father, Howard, was the head of an electric company. His mother, Shirley, was a ballet dancer who later taught dance.
Benjamin went to Worcester Academy, graduating in 1984. After high school, he attended Connecticut College and graduated in 1988.
Career
Comedy Beginnings
Benjamin started his comedy career in Boston. He first performed with his friend Sam Seder in a comedy duo. Later, he joined a comedy team called Cross Comedy, which was led by comedian David Cross. For many years, Benjamin preferred working in groups instead of performing solo stand-up comedy.
He also created live shows in New York City. One was called Tinkle, which he hosted with comedians Todd Barry and David Cross. The show mixed stand-up comedy with live music.
Voice Acting Stardom
Benjamin is one of the most recognized voice actors in animation. He is known for his deep, deadpan voice, which he has used for many famous characters.
Bob's Burgers and Archer
Since 2011, Benjamin has starred as the voice of Bob Belcher in the popular animated show Bob's Burgers. Bob is a friendly but often stressed-out father who runs a hamburger restaurant with his family. The show is loved by audiences of all ages.
He also voices the main character, Sterling Archer, in the animated series Archer, which began in 2009. The show is a spy comedy made for an adult audience.
