Samuel Lincoln Seder (born November 28, 1966) is an American actor, political commentator, and media host. He is known for his work in films like Who's the Caboose? (1997) and TV shows such as Beat Cops (2001). Sam Seder has also appeared in Next Stop Wonderland (1998) and made guest appearances on popular shows like Spin City (1997) and Sex and the City (2000). Since 2010, he has hosted a daily political talk show called The Majority Report with Sam Seder. He also voices the character Hugo on the animated comedy series Bob's Burgers.

Early Life and Education
Sam Seder was born in New York City into a Jewish family. He grew up in Worcester, Massachusetts. His father, J. Robert Seder, is a well-known lawyer. Sam was one of three children. He studied Religious Studies at Connecticut College and earned a Bachelor of Arts degree. After college, he started studying law at Boston University School of Law. However, he decided to leave law school to follow his dream of becoming a comedian.

Radio and Online Shows
In March 2004, Sam Seder became a co-host of The Majority Report on Air America Radio. He hosted the show with Janeane Garofalo until July 2006. Later, his show was replaced, and he hosted a Sunday show called Seder on Sunday. This show ended in June 2008.
Sam also filled in for other radio hosts, like Randi Rhodes and Mike Malloy. In 2008, he started working with Marc Maron on a video webcast called Maron v. Seder. This show was later renamed Breakroom Live with Maron & Seder. It aired live from the Air America offices. Air America Media stopped the show in July 2009, and the network closed down in 2010.
In November 2010, Sam Seder started his own online podcast. It was first called The Seder Channel and later became The Majority Report w/Sam Seder. This show is similar to his old radio program. He talks about politics with co-hosts and interviews different guests. Listeners can support the show and get extra content through a website called Patreon.
Sam Seder also worked as a substitute host for Countdown with Keith Olbermann. He became a co-host of the radio interview program Ring of Fire. He has also been a political contributor for MSNBC.
The Majority Report partnered with the TYT Network for a while. The show has won several People's Choice Podcast Awards for "News and Politics." It won in 2011, 2012, 2013, 2015, and 2017.

Personal Life
Sam Seder married Nicole Cattell. They have two children together. Their daughter, Myla Rae, was born on August 9, 2005. Their son, Saul, was born on March 7, 2013. In April 2018, Sam Seder announced that he and Nicole Cattell had separated.
