Hakkı Yeten (born December 3, 1910 – died April 16, 1989) was a famous Turkish football player. He also became the president and coach of the Istanbul football club Beşiktaş J.K.. Hakkı Yeten is known as one of the most important people in Beşiktaş's history.
He helped make Beşiktaş a very strong club. He holds many records that still stand today. Hakkı Yeten scored the most goals in Beşiktaş's history. He also scored the most goals in big derby matches against other top teams. His name lives on at Beşiktaş's training facilities. Also, a part of Vodafone Park, the team's stadium, is called the Baba Hakkı Tribune in his honor.

Early Life and Football Start
Hakkı Yeten was born in 1910 in a place called Vodina. This area was part of the Ottoman Empire, which is now Greece. When he was just one year old, his family moved to Istanbul. His father was a major in the Ottoman Army. Sadly, his father passed away in 1914 during the Battle of Gallipoli. Hakkı followed his older brothers and went to military high school.
Hakkı Yeten loved football. His oldest brother, Muhtar, was a great athlete who introduced him to the sport. Hakkı played on his school team. Soon, managers from Beşiktaş J.K. noticed his talent. Before joining Beşiktaş, he helped start a club called Karagümrük. He played for them from 1926 to 1931. In 1931, Hakkı left school and joined Beşiktaş.
Playing Career and Achievements
Hakkı Yeten played for Beşiktaş for 17 years. He mostly played as a second striker. He helped his team win many games and championships. He was made the permanent captain of Beşiktaş. Under his leadership, Beşiktaş won 8 Istanbul League Championships. They also won 3 Istanbul Cups and one İzmir International Fair Cup. The team won 3 National League Championships, one Turkish Championship, and 2 Prime Minister Cups.
Hakkı Yeten played for the Turkey national football team only three times. This was partly because of World War II. His fame grew, and even the English team Arsenal showed interest in him. But Hakkı Yeten chose to stay in Turkey. He scored an amazing 382 goals in 439 games for Beşiktaş. He stopped playing football in 1948. This happened after some fans booed him during a match.
After Playing: Coach and President
After retiring as a player, Hakkı Yeten became a coach. He coached Beşiktaş in the 1948–1949 season. He also managed the team again in the 1950–1951 season.
Outside of football, Hakkı Yeten was also very smart. He studied Law and finished his degree in 1937. He then worked as a legal advisor for a state-owned bank. After leaving active sports, he became the Vice Chairman of the Turkish Football Federation. He also served as the president of Beşiktaş J.K. three times. These terms were from 1960–1963, 1964–1966, and 1967–1968. In 1984, he supported Süleyman Seba in the club elections. Seba then became the club president.
Hakkı Yeten was often called "Baba" ("Father") Hakkı. He was chosen as the first honorary president of Beşiktaş before he passed away. He died on April 17, 1989, in Istanbul. He was buried at the Zincirlikuyu Cemetery.
