Halima Abubakar was born in Kano, a city in Nigeria. Even though she was born there, her family comes from Kogi.
She went to Ideal Primary School in Kano. Later, she studied Sociology at Bayero University, which is also in Kano. Sociology is the study of how people live together in groups and societies.
