How the Company Name Changed
Over the years, the company changed its name several times.

Popularity and Growth
Halloren chocolates were very popular in the former German Democratic Republic (East Germany). Even after Germany became one country again, the chocolates stayed a favorite. In 2013, Halloren grew even bigger. It bought a large part of Bouchard, a chocolate company from Belgium.

What's in a Name?
The name "Halloren-Kugeln" comes from the old salt workers in Halle. These workers were called "Halloren." They wore special clothes with round, ball-shaped buttons. The chocolates look just like these buttons!
