Hannes Van Dahl (born Karl-Hannes Dahl, January 18, 1990) is a talented Swedish musician. He is best known as the drummer for the popular power metal band Sabaton.

About Hannes Van Dahl
Early Life and Music Journey
Hannes Van Dahl changed his name from Karl-Hannes Dahl when he became an adult. He became interested in rock and metal music through skateboarding. His cousin, who played in a local band, and his mother, who played records for him, were big inspirations. When he was 10 years old, Hannes started playing the bass guitar. However, he soon found drums more interesting and switched instruments. His first band was called "The ...".
Later, Van Dahl started a band called Downthrust. He left that band to join Evergrey in 2009, taking the place of Jonas Ekdahl. Hannes's drumming teacher, Snowy Shaw, saw how good he was and suggested him to Evergrey. When Snowy Shaw was the drummer for Sabaton, Hannes worked as his drum technician for four shows.
Joining Sabaton
After a practice session at The Abyss studio, Hannes Van Dahl officially joined Sabaton. This happened during their Swedish Empire Tour in 2013. In 2014, Sabaton released their album Heroes. This was the first album that Hannes Van Dahl recorded with the band.
Family Life and Other Projects
Hannes Van Dahl is married to Nightwish lead singer Floor Jansen. They have two daughters. Their first daughter was born in 2017, and their second daughter was born in 2023. Hannes was also part of a band called The Last Heroes. In this band, he played with former Sabaton member Tommy Johansson and current Sabaton members Thobbe Englund and Chris Rörland.
