Happy Birthday is the ninth music album from the beloved children's group Sharon, Lois & Bram. It first came out in 1988. This album was created to celebrate Sharon, Lois & Bram's 10th year of making music together. That's why it has a "birthday" theme!

Album Versions and Releases
The first versions of this album were called "Happy Birthday." They were released by Elephant Records and A&M Records. You could buy them on CD, cassette, and even on a record (LP). This was the last album by Sharon, Lois & Bram that was available on a record.
The "Elephant Party" Re-releases
In 1996, Elephant Records released the album again. This time, they changed the name to "Elephant Party." The cover art was different too. It showed a cartoon elephant bursting out of a birthday present. Sharon, Lois & Bram looked surprised in the picture. This new version added the song "Ha-Ha, This-A-Way." However, it did not include the song "Puff the Magic Dragon."
Later in 1996, Drive Entertainment released the album in the United States. They also called it "Elephant Party." The cover for this version was yellow. It showed Sharon, Lois & Bram with Elephant, surrounded by balloons. This edition came with a fun "pin-the-tail on the elephant" game. It also had a fold-out sheet with lyrics for most of the songs. But this version removed several songs that were on the original album.
There was also an idea to re-release "Happy Birthday" under the title "The Elephant Party." This planned version would have used the same album cover as the original "Happy Birthday" album. But for some reason, this idea was never fully released.
