Early Life and First Films
Harald Zwart was born in the Netherlands. However, he grew up in Fredrikstad, Norway. He loved making films from a very young age. In fact, he started creating short films when he was just eight years old!
He later went to film school in Amsterdam, called the Dutch Film Academy. While he was a student, he made a film called Gabriel's Surprise. This film was very well-received and even shown on television.
