Hardap is one of the 14 regions in the country of Namibia. It is located in the southern part of Namibia. The capital city of the Hardap Region is Mariental. This region is also home to the famous Hardap Dam.

Hardap is a large region in Namibia. It covers a huge area of about 109,781 square kilometers. This makes it one of the bigger regions in the country. In 2011, about 79,507 people lived here.

The Hardap Region is known for its dry landscapes. It includes parts of the Kalahari Desert and the Namib Desert. Despite this, it has important natural features. The Hardap Dam is a very important water source. It helps with farming and provides water for people.
The Hardap Dam
The Hardap Dam is the largest dam in Namibia. It is built on the Fish River. The dam creates a large reservoir. This reservoir is used for irrigation, which means watering crops. It also supports local wildlife.
