Achievements and Awards

Harold Barlow received many important awards for his work. These awards showed how much he helped the world of engineering.

Joining the Royal Society

In 1961, Harold Barlow became a Fellow of the Royal Society. This is a very special honor for top scientists and engineers. They recognized him for his amazing work with very short radio waves, called centimetre waves.

He found new ways to measure the power of these waves. He also studied how electricity moves through special tubes called waveguides. His research helped us understand how these waves behave.

Honorary Degree

In 1971, Harold Barlow received an Honorary Doctorate from Heriot-Watt University. This is a special degree given to people who have made great contributions.

Royal Medal Winner
