Harper is a small, unincorporated community located in Logan County, in the U.S. state of Ohio. An unincorporated community means it's a group of homes and businesses that isn't officially a town or city with its own local government.
The Story of Harper
Harper was first established in 1851. This happened around the same time that a new railroad line was built through the area. Railroads were very important back then because they helped people and goods travel much faster.
A post office was opened in Harper in 1856. This meant people living there could send and receive mail more easily. The post office served the community for many years before it closed in 1934.
