Harry Curtis Galbreath (born January 1, 1965 – died July 27, 2010) was an American football player. He played as an offensive guard in the NFL. Harry played for the Miami Dolphins, Green Bay Packers, and New York Jets. He was 6 feet 1 inch tall and weighed about 295 pounds. Harry went to the University of Tennessee and was a star player there.

Harry's College Football Journey

Harry Galbreath started his football career at Clarksville High School in Clarksville, Tennessee. After high school, he joined the University of Tennessee Volunteers. He played in every game during his four years there, from 1984 to 1987.

Harry was a starter for his last three years with the Volunteers. His coach, Johnny Majors, thought Harry was an amazing player. He said Harry was the best at blocking for running plays. Harry was known for playing aggressively and with great skill.

In 1987, his senior year, Harry earned some big awards. He was named first-team All-SEC and first-team All-American. He also won the Jacobs Award, given to the best lineman in the SEC. Later, in 1991, Harry was honored again. He was named to Tennessee's 100 Year All-Time Team. This shows how important he was to the team's history.

Playing in the NFL

After finishing college in 1988, Harry Galbreath was chosen in the NFL Draft. The Miami Dolphins picked him in the 8th round. He was the 212th player picked overall.

Harry quickly made an impact with the Dolphins. He was named to the NFL All-Rookie Team in his first year, 1988. He played five seasons with the Dolphins, from 1988 to 1992.

After his time in Miami, Harry moved to the Green Bay Packers. He played three seasons with them, from 1993 to 1995. Then, he played one final season with the New York Jets in 1996 before he retired from playing.

Coaching and Community Work

After his playing career, Harry Galbreath became a football coach. He started as an offensive line coach at Austin Peay State University. He coached there for two years.

Then, Harry coached for five years at Tennessee State University. In 2005, he became the offensive line coach at Hampton University. Later, in 2007, he returned to the University of Tennessee. He worked with the strength and conditioning program for the Volunteers.

Outside of football, Harry was involved in helping others. He worked with the National Incarcerated Parents and Families Network (NIPFN). This is a non-profit organization that helps families of parents who are in prison. They offer support and education to these families.

Harry Galbreath passed away on July 27, 2010, in Mobile, Alabama.
