Harry Ring was an American journalist and activist. He was born in 1918 and passed away on April 18, 2007. He was a very important member of a political group called the Socialist Workers Party.
Ring joined a political movement in Newark, New Jersey in 1936. He worked for the Socialist Workers Party for many years. From 1954 to 1981, he was part of their main leadership group, called the National Committee. In 1950, he even ran for a government job in New York State.

Harry Ring was a regular writer for a newspaper called The Militant. This newspaper was based in New York City. He also had his own weekly column in the paper. It was called "The Great Society."
