Haut-Lomami is one of the 26 provinces in the Democratic Republic of the Congo. A province is like a large region or state within a country. The main city and capital of Haut-Lomami is Kamina.
A Look at Its Past
From 1966 to 2015, Haut-Lomami was not a separate province. During that time, it was managed as a smaller area called a district. It was part of a much larger region known as the Katanga Province. In 2015, it became its own province.
