Hawkins is a small town located in Rusk County, Wisconsin, in the United States. In 2000, about 170 people lived there. The smaller Village of Hawkins is actually found inside this town.

History of Hawkins

The town of Hawkins was probably named after a man named Marsh P. Hawkins. He worked for a railroad company called the Minneapolis, St. Paul & Sault Ste. Marie Railroad back in the 1880s. He was the secretary and treasurer for one of its important sections.
