Hayle Kimbro Pool is also famous for its dragonflies. In 1995, it was the first place in Britain where the Scarlet Dragonfly was seen. A few years later, in 1999, it was also the first site where scientists found proof that the Lesser Emperor dragonfly was breeding. This shows how important the pool is for these beautiful insects.
