Heads and Tails was a fun children's TV show from the BBC. It was created by Michael Cole. The amazing voices and music were done by Derek Griffiths.
Each episode was about 15 minutes long. The show was made for younger children, but it's still interesting for anyone who loves animals! It showed lots of different animals, both pets and wild ones. The show used real videos of animals.
The person telling the story would talk about the animals. Then, the animals would "talk" to each other in funny ways. There were also catchy songs! These songs often made jokes about how animals look or act. For example, they might sing about the long nose of a proboscis monkey.
Heads and Tails first aired on BBC in 1977. A second series came out in 1979.
Michael Cole and Derek Griffiths had worked together before. They created other popular children's shows like Play School and Bod.
