Heathcliff (also known as Heathcliff and the Catillac Cats) is a fun animated TV show. It first aired on September 5, 1984. The show is based on the popular Heathcliff comic strip.
This series was the second TV show about Heathcliff. It was made by a company called DIC Audiovisuel. The show ran until 1988 and had a total of 86 episodes. The first Heathcliff show was called Heathcliff and Dingbat and came out in 1980.
The characters known as the Catillac Cats were created by Jean Chalopin and Bruno Bianchi. Many animation studios from Japan, Taiwan, and Korea helped make the first season. These included TMS and Wang Film.
The famous voice actor Mel Blanc gave Heathcliff his voice. He had also voiced Heathcliff in the earlier 1980 series.
