Shuki Levy (Hebrew: שוקי לוי; born June 3, 1947) is a talented Israeli-American music composer and television producer. He is famous for creating the music for many popular children's TV shows from the 1980s and 1990s.

You might know his music from shows like The Real Ghostbusters, Inspector Gadget, The Mysterious Cities of Gold, and He-Man and the Masters of the Universe. He also worked on the Power Rangers series, Digimon: Digital Monsters, and VR Troopers. Besides music, Shuki Levy has also written and directed episodes for some of these shows. He even directed a few movies.

Life and Career

Early Life and Music

Shuki Levy was born in Jaffa, which was then called British Mandate of Palestine. His father was from Russia, and his mother had Sephardi Jewish roots.

He started his career as a singer and musician. He performed in different clubs in Tel Aviv. He also appeared in the famous musical Hair.

Shuky & Aviva Duo

In the 1970s, Shuki Levy performed with Aviva Paz as a musical duo called "Shuky & Aviva." They were very popular in Europe. Their hit song "Signorina - Concertina" sold two million copies!

They also appeared in music videos together. In 1975, they sang a song called "You and Me and Two Dreams" for the 1975 Eurovision Song Contest. Later, Shuki Levy composed "Halayla", which was Israel's song for the 1981 Eurovision Song Contest.

Saban Entertainment Company

While living in Paris, Shuki Levy met Haim Saban, who was also a musician and businessman. They became good friends and decided to work together. They moved to Los Angeles and started their own company, Saban Entertainment.

This company created many animated shows and adapted Japanese shows for Western audiences. Some of their well-known shows include Digimon, X-Men, Spider-Man, and Power Rangers. Saban Entertainment was later sold to The Walt Disney Company in 2001.

During the 1980s and 1990s, Shuki Levy composed a huge amount of music for television. He is credited with writing thousands of themes and songs.

Projects After Saban Entertainment

After Saban Entertainment was sold, Shuki Levy continued to work on new projects. One of his first projects was Itty Bitty HeartBeats, an animated children's DVD released in 2003.

In 2009, he directed and composed music for a live-action film called Aussie and Ted's Great Adventure. He wrote this movie with his wife, Tori Avey. His daughter, Jordan, also had a role in the film.

Family Life

Shuki Levy has two daughters. He is currently married to Tori Avey, a food blogger. They met in the early 2000s. Shuki Levy owns homes in California and Miami.
